Tyre Coupling is used to connect two shafts together while allowing for misalignment, vibration and shock absorption. The coupling consists of two tyre-shaped elements made of a flexible elastomeric material. It is mounted between two hubs with the tyre-shaped elements pressed onto the hubs. The elastomeric material allows for the hubs to move relative to each other, thus absorbing misalignment and vibration between the two shafts. It is suitable for use in a wide range of applications such as pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, etc.
